Productivity Commission into mental health

SuperFriend made a submission to the Productivity Commission’s Inquiry into Mental Health announced by the Federal Government in November 2018.

The submission called on the Government to introduce four practical measures to help towards creating mentally healthy workplaces across Australia:

  1. Establish a cross-sector working group
  2. Investment in the development of a National Workplace Initiative (which has since been funded in 2019 and is being headed by SuperFriend)
  3. Develop incentives for industry-led implementation
  4. Positive, strength-based strategies across all investments.

The Mentally Healthy Workplace Alliance (MHWA, of which we are a member) also made a submission to the Productivity Commission Inquiry focussed on making the case for a national approach to workplace mental health (see link above).

All member organisations of the MHWA contributed to and supported the submission which you can find here.
